DeGraw & Clarkson...what a great combination!
I decided, why not? We were going to the fair, so I was pleasantly surprised. I knew my girls liked Gavin DeGraw and some BB and Me - When Love Comes to Town! DeGraw was a great opener. I'm now officially a fan of his. The venue was terrific, the sound was super, and the performances totally top notch! From the minute we sat down to the time Kelly did her encore (which consisted of 3 songs, just when I thought she couldn't have anything left), we were wowed. Then when Kelly took the stage, she had the audience rockin with a nice mix of new and old. It was obvious that she was a performer who knew how to lead an AMAZING back up band/vocals, but could hold her own with two acoustic guitars and just a mic. She also had great stage presence, and seemed very at home with the audience. Then at times, she silenced the audience with her new mix of acoustic pieces. A little comic relief and anecdotes between pieces always adds to the appeal.
